Union Hospital Center for Fitness and Performance offers a wide range of fitness classes.  Whether you're into Yoga or Spinning, Zumba or Cross Fit, we have a class fo you!

 Beginner Yoga    

Beginners YogaDon't let the name fool you.  Any student of Yoga can benefit from this class.  Beginner Yoga concentrates on proper alignmentthat is safe and healthy for your body.  Longer pose holds, step-by-step vinyasas, and pointers for doing poses correctly every time.  If you have never done Yoga, but always wanted to try, then this class is perfect for you.  If you have been doing Yoga for years, this is also a great refresher class.  Doing even one pose wrong over the course of many years can greatly damage your body.  This class is dedicated to reinforcing proper Yoga.

 Body Sculpt    

This is a 45 minute class that will give you a total body workout.  We will focus on body weight lower body exercises, light upper body dumbbell on and off the resist-a-ball, and flexibility.

 Butts & Guts    

Butts & Guts

This is a 40-50 minute class that focuses mainly on the butt and abdominal muscle groups.  The class generally starts with a brief warm up that includes stretching and warming on the muscles as well as gradually increasing the heart rate.  Exercises in this class may include squats, lunges, crunches, and various movements with a stability and/or Bosu ball.  The class ends with a cool down, full body stretch.

 Cardio Blast    

Prepare for a challenging class that's guaranteed to get your heart pumping!  This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stamina exercises.  This class includes simple moves that are adaptable for anyone moderately fit.

 Circuit Train    

A total-body conditioning workout designed to target all major muscle groups.  You will move through a series of stations using various exercise equipment including: dumbbells, Bosu balls, medicine balls, exercise bands, steps, etc..

 Cross Train    

This is a 50 minute class that will focus on multi uses of body movement.  Not just training, not just aerobics, not just weight training.  This class is an intense, difficult, but extrememly gratifying workout that will push you to new levels of fitness.  It will cater to all individuals.  However, the intensity level will not change.  If this sounds interesting to you, please come and test your body both mentally and physically. 

 Hip Fit    

Hip Fit

Ready to get moving?  This dance class will consist of a warm up including a full body stretch, basic dance technique, and learning a dance routine to music.  If you are ready to shake your booty and have some fun, this is the class for you!

 Mix It Up    

Getting bored with your workout?  In Mix-It-Up class you never know what you're going to get!  We'll do everything from a Bosu ball workout or kickboxing, maybe try a step routine or a stability ball workout.  Every week you can expect something different!  If you are willing to try new things and need a change of pace, come Mix-It-Up!


PiYo is a combination workout of Pilates (Pi) and Yoga (Yo), incorporating principles of sports stretch, strength training and movement to improve strength, flexibility, balance, core stability, and reduce stress in a non-traditional class setting.  There is constant movement and flow from one exercise to the next.  Divided into 4 sections:  Warm up, Balance/Strength (sometimes using small weights), Core Training, and Cool Down.  All fitness levels are welcome!


This is a 45 minute cardio class taught on a Spin Bike with Resistance!  You will get a great cardiovascular workout as well as a great lower body workout at the same time.  The class is as intense as you make it.  Come and join in to feel the calories melt away!!

 Tone & Tighten    

This is a 45-60 minute class that focuses on toning and tightening the body as a whole.  The class generally starts with a brief warm up that includes stretching and warming of the muscles as well as gradually increasing the heart rate.  Exercises in this class may include bicep curls with dumbbells, squats with weights, abdominal crunches, push-ups, and leg lifts.    Equipment in this class may include stability balls, resistance bands, Bosu balls, aerobic steps, mats, and weights.  This class ends with a colld down, full body stretch.

 Totally Abs    

This is a 30 minute class that focuses on working the abdominal muscles.  If your mid section is your trouble spot, this is the class for you.  This class includes more than just crunches.  It will give you many different variations of exercises to sculpt and achieve the stomach you always wanted.


Zumba is FUN...FUN...FUN!!  It's a fitness program inspired by Latin dance.  Zumba combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create an aerobic routine that is FUN and easy to follow.  We utilize the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize calorie output, fat burning, and total body toning.  It's a way of mixing body sculpting movements with easy-to-folllow dance steps.

 Zumba Gold    

Same as regular Zumba but done at a slower pace for Senior Citizens.

 Zumba Toning    

Same as regular Zumba but done at the advanced level, incorporated with hand weights.
